• Responsible, but not limited to, provide direct nursing care & administer treatments to patients; collaborate with allied health team to plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and families

Minimum Requirements

​

Holder of current license for Registered Nurse from the CNO
Recipient of CPR certificate for Health Care Provider (HCP)
Has effective verbal and written skills in the English language
Has Canadian criminal record clearance
Has medical clearance
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificate holder
Completed Critical Care courses or working towards getting one
Minimum solid year of clinical experience in an area of specialty of specialty Emergency Department (In addition to above qualifications)
No less than 1 year (or equivalent hours) medical/surgical nursing experience
Completed a minimum of 1 year experience in emergency department or critical and intensive care units
Maternal & Postpartum Units (in addition to the above qualifications)
Minimum 1 year (or equivalent hours) of pediatric and/or obstetric nursing experience, Mental Health Unit (in addition to the above qualifications)
No less than 1 year (or equivalent hours) of mental health nursing experience and/or has taken courses related to mental health
